HOW WE WORK

At the intersection of competence and confidence

Here’s the truth…what got you here won’t get you there. Is your organization stuck in the past, or is it striving for a new future? Are you still doing the same things and wondering why you're stuck with the same results? Are you ready to commit to becoming an organization that values a growth mindset and collective learning?

When your nonprofit chooses to become a learning organization, it means that you are ready to level up your commitment to your mission and your community.

By becoming a learning organization, your agency will yield remarkable outcomes: heightened impact and increased effectiveness, efficient resource management, attraction and retention of top talent, adaptability to change, fostering innovation, cultivating confidence from donors and stakeholders, embracing accountability and transparency, driving community engagement, and ensuring long-term sustainability.

In an era marked by recurring social and environmental challenges, learning organizations are better equipped to tackle complex and ever-evolving issues and to secure their future.

Building organizational capacity within nonprofits is the process of developing the organization’s internal capabilities and resources so it can operate effectively, efficiently, and sustainably. The ultimate goal is to put the organization in a position to meet or exceed the expectations of stakeholders and fulfill its mission.

Our distinctive approach to Organizational Capacity Building focuses on three areas:

Cultivating effective leaders

  1. Nurturing collaborative teams

  2. Empowering dynamic Boards

This transformational work happens through 1:1 and group coaching, an online learning management system, exceptional programming, a built-in community of fellow nonprofit leaders, and dedicated support from coaches and consultants with deep nonprofit experience.

We use diagnostic assessments to capture where clients are when they start working with us. With the awareness and insights gained through the Energy Leadership Index clients have the opportunity to reshape their attitudes and worldview and “transform who they are.”

The LPI®: Leadership Practices Inventory®

The LPI provides individuals and teams insight into what it takes to become an extraordinary leader. This assessment measures the frequency you engage in exemplary leadership behaviors, and inspires the breakthrough insights needed to help you create change towards a more motivated and productive workforce by building a culture of leadership.

NBDI®: Hermann Brain Dominance Inventory Whole Brain Thinking

Often referred to as the ‘Whole Brain Model’, HBDI or the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument is a psychometric assessment that shows how you prefer to think. It highlights the fact that each of us is different and, therefore, thinks in different ways. The Model divides the brain into four quadrants: analytical, practical, relational, and experimental.

ELI: The Energy Leadership Index Assessment

The Energy Leadership Index Assessment (ELI) is an attitudinal assessment tool that captures how you currently perceive and approach work and life and looks closely at where (and how) you invest your energy. These insights boost productivity, communication, and morale among employees. For individuals, you’re likely to see transformations in your relationships, confidence level, and leadership skills.

iCAT: The Impact Capacity Assessment Tool

Think Good Coaching and Consulting partners with nonprofits to enhance their operational strengths and improve areas for better performance. This is accomplished using The Impact Capacity Assessment Tool (iCAT). This valuable tool, gathers input from the organization’s main contributors—its staff and key stakeholders—to comprehensively understand the nonprofit’s capacity. The iCAT assesses six key organizational capacities: Leading, Learning, Resource Generating, Planning, Managing, and Overseeing, aiding nonprofits in delivering their mission more effectively.
