My Journey to Thinking Good
Imagine leading with intent, not by default. As a high-impact coach and leadership consultant, I catalyze transformative change for leaders and organizations. With over two decades of experience spanning higher education, corporate consulting, and nonprofit leadership—including serving as CEO of Habitat for Humanity Lehigh Valley—I've honed a unique approach to empowering individuals and cultivating learning-driven cultures.
My company, The Think Good Company, combines nonprofit consultancy with professional coaching to help leaders reach their full potential. We've guided numerous organizations across diverse industries and coached countless women through significant transitions.
From coordinating charity events as a child to framing organizational visions as an adult, my journey has always centered on making a positive impact.
Learning to be an ally and champion for others began in childhood from my parents. In elementary school I coordinated a fundraiser for Easter Seals by planning a massive carnival in my backyard. I was also the founder of the KIND club...Kindness In Nature’s Defense.
Fast forward to college and the start of 30 years of being a self-proclaimed “leadership geek.” I became fascinated by the intersection of people and systems. Sociology + Psychology = Social Work. I decided to make a difference by inspiring others through change so I got my Master’s in Organizational Development.
The empath in me as a young professional couldn’t let go of other people’s stories. In my first professional role, I launched an Emerging Leaders program at Muhlenberg College, my alma mater, that provided young leaders with leadership education on all of the basics of things like delegation, dealing with difficult people, and communication skills.
In my next role at Lafayette College, I trained countless Resident Advisors on leadership skills as well.
I went on to hold crucial leadership roles that deepened my grasp of guiding individuals and organizations toward success. While working in higher education I had the opportunity to work with high potential student leaders. Corporate consulting around diversity, equity and inclusion. Fundraising for organizations that I was passionate about. And nonprofit leadership.
After September 11, I decided that the pace of working as an Associate Dean of Students at Delaware Valley College was not serving me in my role as a single mom.
I left Del Val with the hopes of starting my own business. Insights Consulting was my first attempt at entrepreneurship. As I launched that business, I need a “side hustle” and took a job in retail where I was extremely fortunate to meet the President of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Apparently, I went above and beyond in my approach to service and she wanted to know more about me. As I told her my story, she was intrigued about my background in working with emerging leaders. She hired me as the leadership consultant for the sorority. I built a robust leadership program during my three years of working for this fantastic organization.
However, I missed the collegial nature of working on a college campus so I returned to work at Lafayette College where I learned how to become a Development officer. I had a certain knack for raising money.
This skill set eventually brought me to Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley where I served as CEO for 7 years. During those years, we launched some incredible initiatives including the launch of a ReStore and a Neighborhood Improvement program. Although I couldn’t frame a house, I could frame an organizational vision. And, with an amazing team, we did just that.
And then I was ready for a new challenge…
I launched The Think Good Company in 2020 to expand my commitment to making positive change through nonprofit consultancy and coaching. Around this time I rounded out my leadership toolbox with professional coaching certifications so I could empower leaders to reach their full potential. Contributing to organizations focused on meaningful causes, allowed me to gain insight into nonprofits’ challenges and craft successful change strategies.
There is nothing I love more than using my expertise as a coach and consultant to power up individuals and teams. I believe that mental reframes are transformative for people, leaders, and organizations no matter where they are on their journeys. I’m on a mission to ignite potential in people, teams, and organizations so that they can leave the world better than they found it.
I describe myself as a “life enthusiast”…leaning in to adventures and opportunities to celebrate the moment.
When I’m not igniting Think Good Coaching and Consulting, I love spending time with my children, my two grandsons, entertaining my mini-doodles, watching all Philly sports teams with my husband and enjoying live music. I’m also an avid reader and I’m writing my first book!
