Think Good Nonprofit Leadership Lab
This five session program is designed to refresh and rebuild the leaders of today's nonprofits.
This year's lab will focus on Board Leadership, new approaches to Strategic Planning and Reigniting Your Leadership Mindset.
These sessions are designed for Executive Directors and Board leaders.
If you're looking for an opportunity to learn and network with fellow nonprofit professionals, this is the event for you.
All sessions are 60-minutes via ZOOM. All four sessions will be recorded and available to your organization for 30 days.
The Sessions
Below are the five topics that we will cover during each session.
Board 101: What’s My Lane?
Are you an Executive Director or Board member who is unsure of what your role should be?
This workshop will help you gain clarity on the different roles and responsibilities of both board members and executive directors.
You will also develop a plan for how to prioritize next steps in order to have more effective and efficient performance from all sides.
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to articulate the roles and responsibilities of board members and executive directors clearly, as well as develop a plan for how to make sure everyone is on the same page. This will leave you feeling confident in your ability to lead your nonprofit organization.
Date: January 6th
Board 102: Putting Data Into Practice
Want to be a better nonprofit leader?
Boardsource’s Leading with Intent report is one of the most important pieces of research on best practices for nonprofit boards.
In this session, you will learn about key findings from the report. We will talk about how these findings intersect with the “real time” concerns I see as a nonprofit leadership coach.
You will focus on some of the key findings related to best practices for board leadership and how these best practices can be put into place in your own organization.
With the right knowledge and tools, every nonprofit board can be a best-practices leader!
Date: January 20th
Rethinking Strategic Planning
Struggling to create a strategic plan that is nimble and adaptive? Are you looking to create a usable document to guide strategies?
You are not alone. Many leaders feel overwhelmed when it comes to creating a strategy in today's rapidly changing world.
In this session, I will introduce you to my proprietary method for approaching strategic planning in challenging times…Visioncasting.
My approach challenges leaders to think differently about leadership, organizational values and key strategic touchstones. By thinking differently about strategy, leaders can create a plan that is nimble and adaptive, while remaining grounded in their organization's values.
Date: February 3rd
Reigniting Your Leadership Mindset
As a nonprofit leader, you likely understand all too well the feeling of being exhausted. You pour your heart and soul into your work, but there always seems to be more that needs to be done.
Your team looks to you for guidance and inspiration, but you're struggling just to keep your head above water. It doesn't have to be this way.
In this final session, I will introduce you to the Energy Leadership Model, a new way of reigniting your energy as a leader to serve your community with more passion and purpose. This strategy begins with a shift in leadership mindset, which then leads to more effective action and ultimately creates lasting change.
Date: February 17th

The Think Good Company Story
I learned to be an ally and champion for others when I was a tot from my parents. I coordinated a fundraiser when I was in elementary school for Easter Seals by planning a massive carnival in my backyard. I was the founder of the KIND club...Kindness In Nature’s Defense.
Fast forward. College. I became fascinated by the intersection of people and systems. Sociology + Psychology=Social Work. The empath in me as a young professional, couldn’t let go of other people’s stories. I decided I wanted to make a difference by inspiring others through change. So, I got my Master’s in Organizational Development.
I won’t bore you with the details, but I divide my career into a few chapters. Higher education where I had the opportunity to work with high potential student leaders. Corporate consulting around diversity, equity and inclusion. Fundraising for organizations that I was passionate about. And non-profit leadership.
I served as the CEO of Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley for almost 7 years. Although I couldn’t frame a house, I could frame an organizational vision. And, with an amazing team, we did just that. But I was tired and was ready for a new challenge.
I launched The Think Good Company as a full-fledged business in 2018. I also thought I needed a few extra tools in my leadership toolbox. “Coach” was a descriptor I used frequently. I committed myself to becoming a professional coach.
As life would have it, my coaching certification process collided in a cosmic way with massive life events over a nine-month period:
I signed on the dotted-line for my coaching program a month after unexpectedly losing my mom. I did my last live training module just 3 weeks after losing my dad. I lost two of my pups during these 9 months. I had a spinal fusion in February. I literally had every reason in the world NOT to finish my program ... but I did!
And that’s how the best iteration of The Think Good Company was born. I lead my work with coaching first. My expertise and education are always there to support the coaching process for individuals, teams and organizations.
My mission now...to ignite potential in people, teams, and organizations so that they can leave the world better than they found it.
I was expelled in elementary school for starting a food fight. Over spaghetti. With a boy that I liked.
I spent two weeks at Fort Bragg at an ROTC program for college administrators. I shot a howitzer in shorts and a floral top.
I am terrified of birds. I stop the car and scream in the presence of wild turkeys.
I am a live concert junkie. My husband and I have seen almost 100 shows in our 15 years together.
I starred in every drama production during my high school years. Not really a surprise.
I was a cheerleader. Even less of a surprise.
My husband and I got married during lunch by a judge in a courtroom. We went to Friendly’s for ice cream and went back to work.
I wanted to be a pediatric zoo vet until I realized that I had no interest in science.
I am a Jersey girl. Exit 168. It’s a thing.
I have had two spinal neck surgeries. I consider my chronic pain to be an evil twin.
I’ve been told I am an “earth angel”. Not sure what it means but I think it speaks to my finely tuned skills around intuition.
I have an unhealthy relationship with all things Bravo (TV) related. I love good stories.
I lived in a residence hall after going through a divorce with my two-year-old daughter. She got the bedroom and a Barney bed. I got the sofa.
My superpower is igniting the potential in others. Kaboom!
My passion is around supporting people in finding their voice. And I don’t mean singing,
I wanted to be the Oscar Meir Weiner mobile when I was a kid. Anyone know why?
My grandmother was my idol.
The first words I read were DQ and Bloomingdales. Giving me soft-ice cream and an hour in a store and I am happy.
I am obsessed with all things stationery. LOVE journals, planners, and pens!
I’ve worked in lots of sectors…higher education, consulting, corporate and nonprofit. The same leadership challenge stories come up everywhere.
I’ve spent my life pursuing happiness and redefining success.
If I could have a million pets…I would.
I believe that each of us has the ability to change the world.
I love working with people who I call difference makers.
I hope to meet you!
