Looking for Some Book Recommendations?

All this month, we are celebrating the journey around personal development.

It’s summertime, so everyone is looking for a good book. So today, I’m sharing a couple of books that have been “game changers” in my life personally and professionally.

I am that person who generally has three books going at the same time. Usually fiction on my kindle, and a non-fiction book next to my reading chair in the living room. And probably a third book that I’ve started specifically about building my business that I like to refer back to.

I keep a running list of books that I am obsessed with…but only because these are the learning and life leadership books that have made such an impact in my life. If you are looking for your next great read…check out these titles:

Here are the winners…

  1. The Best Leadership Book of all Time is “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen Covey.

  2. The book I recommend most frequently to my clients…”Atomic Habits” by James Clear.

  3. The book that makes the best case for finding your tribe, “Braving the Wilderness” by Brené Brown.

  4. The book that makes us all want to roar with courage, “Untamed” by Glennon Doyle.

  5. The book that best describes the challenges my clients are experiencing during this snapshot in time; “Burnout” by Emily Nagoski and Amelia Nagoski.

  6. The book that made me think the most about social justice issues in this country, “How to “How to Be an Antiracist” by Ibram X. Kendi.

  7. The book that inspired me first in my business journey, “Everything is Figureoutable” by Marie Forleo.

  8. The book that is giving me new language about the experiences and feelings we all have, “Atlas of the Heart” by Brenee Brown.

  9. The book that I didn’t really think would be a good leadership book for whatever reason, but that was…another Brené Brown classic, “Dare to Lead”.

  10. The book that I am most excited about reading this summer, “Fierce Self-Compassion” by Kristin Neff.

Oh, and of course…my favorite book this year is kind of personal! “Elevate Your Voice”. This is a passion project that I started working on last year. The book was launched in April and has become a Amazon #1 Bestseller.

If you are a lover of books, just thinking about this stack of books sitting on a fireplace brings me joy.

And, each one of these glorious works will inspire you to think good, think differently and to Think Courageously.
